COLLEGE MINISTRY
Mission Statement
"Yet a time is coming and has now come when the true worshipers will worship the Father in
spirit and truth, for they are the kind of worshipers the Fathers seeks." John 4:23
We are blessed to know that you are interested in joining the college ministry group. The vision that the Lord has given us for this ministry is four-fold:
Grace- Realizing that salvation is by grace through faith, we desire to implement this truth within this ministry in order to lead others to Christ
Glorify- Our ultimate goal as a group is to grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. The
main way we can accomplish this is by feeding upon the Word of God, having an intimate prayer life, and
worshipping Him. All theses elements are present in this ministry.
Grow- Not only is it important to make seeking after Christ our top priority but also to grow and build one another up in the faith. We realize the importance of godly fellowship within the life of a believer. Our desire is that each member will ultimately be encouraged to connect with other group members on a spiritual level. This is the reason we have also allotted time at the end of the month that is specifically geared toward fellowship. We also make time after every study just to hang out and get to know each other on a more personal basis.
Go- A very important aspect of growing in the Lord is learning to serve Him in whatever capacity He calls us to. This is why it is important not only to faithfully attend group meetings but also to find ways in which we can serve the Lord together whether it be within the college ministry or any other ministry. What Plugged In is: The purpose of this ministry is to develop a deeper understanding of who God is, who we are in Him, and what His plans are for our individual lives. It is our desire to have a deeper more intimate relationship with Him while we experience this crucial stage in our lives. We are here to learn more about God and about each other through an encouraging time of fellowship and group discussion with God's Word as our focus.
What Plugged In is NOT: The purpose of this ministry, although it is geared towards college-age single adults between the ages of 18-25, is not to provide a Christian dating service! The thrust of this ministry is learning how we can serve God in our season of singleness and keep ourselves pure in Him, not on finding a mate. Therefore, Bible sturdy, not social interaction, will be the focus within this ministry.
